Electrolysis Hair Removal

It’s a problem faced by many. Unwanted hair, particularly on the face for women, can really knock your self-esteem and leave you feeling anxious in social situations. But there are solutions, and at Tej & Co we’ve helped hundreds of women restore their confidence by getting rid of unwanted hair.

The hands-down most effective permanent hair-removal treatment is electrolysis. Suitable for men and women with all hair types, electrolysis hair removal treatment  is quick, safe and virtually pain-free. No more tiresome plucking or shaving, no more feeling self-conscious; just smoother, softer, gorgeously hair-free skin and a much happier and more confident you.

If you’re looking for a permanent way to get rid of unwanted facial or body hair, electrolysis is the ideal choice. Suitable for all hair and skin types, electrolysis permanent hair removal targets and removes individual hairs. In the short term, they grow back finer and more slowly, and after several treatments they’ll be gone altogether. Forget creams and regular shaving or plucking – electrolysis will leave your skin feeling smoother and you feeling much happier and more confident.

Electrolysis uses an incredibly fine needle, no bigger than an eyelash, to inject a tiny burst of heat into the root of the hair follicle. This weakens the hair, gradually destroying it over the course of the treatment.

For women, we can use electrolysis on the face – upper lip, chin, cheeks and eyebrows – and body.

For men, electrolysis is effective for removing hair around the ear, nose, beard area and above the shave line.

At Tej & Co, we use two types of electrolysis systems, Apilus and Sterex. Apilus is our most advanced system and is most popular with our transgender clients, who have hours of treatment and find it completely painless compared to the traditional Sterex system. At your consultation, we’ll take the time to discuss which system is best for you.

While electrolysis is safe, pain-free and effective, some people find it a little uncomfortable on larger areas and you will need repeat sessions to permanently get rid of unwanted hair.

Although electrolysis is suitable for all hair types – however coarse, whatever the colour – your hair does need to be at least 1cm long and you shouldn’t pluck, shave or wax between treatments.

At your appointment, our friendly, expert therapists will guide you through the treatment process in detail, but as a guide it involves:

1. Gently cleansing the treatment area with a sterile wipe.
2. Inserting the pain-free electrolysis probe into the hair follicle, which then releases a tiny burst of energy to target the root.
3. Removing the probe and the hair.
4. Repeating the process until all unwanted hair is removed.

At your consultation we’ll discuss whether electrolysis is the most suitable treatment for you. If it is, we’ll put together a bespoke plan, tell you what to expect pre- and post-treatment and answer any questions you may have.

With electrolysis, the results are instant and will leave you with hair-free, smoother skin. In the short term, hair will grow back finer and more slowly. Over the longer term, with several treatments, you’ll see permanent hair reduction.

If you’re tired, frustrated and disappointed by other unsuccessful hair-removal methods, it’s time to give electrolysis a go. It’s super-effective and completely suitable for men and women with all skin types and hair colours.

We have a lot of experience of helping women with underlying causes of hair growth, such as menopause or hormonal imbalances, and in supporting transgender clients in achieving the hair-free look they’re after.

Electrolysis is a great alternative to laser treatment, which only works with darker hair.

Tej & Co hair removal and skincare clinic provide expert treatments in Stourbridge for both women and men.

The Proof

“When I first came to Tej, a few years ago, I would say I had a significant problem with facial hair. I had lived with it for many years, putting up with it and unsure what to do about it. I didn’t know how to solve the problem or whether anything could be done. I didn’t know where to go and was embarrassed talking to anyone except close family about it. I also didn’t know whether I could afford a solution. I found Tej after seeing her adverts in the local newspaper, explaining she was expert and specialist dealing with hair removal. I went to see her and have never looked back. In the first years, Tej worked on her own from different premises. She was always positive, optimistic, professional and reassuring. I didn’t feel judged or embarrassed with the problem, as I always had thought I would if I sought help. From the start I felt empowered by the fact that something was being done, even though the treatment took years.

Things quickly changed for the better and every visit was a step in the right direction. I would say the cost has not been extreme, and the benefits to me have far outweighed the financial cost anyway. In more recent times Tej has moved to her smart current premises, which are so convenient for the local area, and reflect her smart, professional image. Her staff who I often see these days is similarly friendly, professional and positive. I would recommend Tej and Co to anyone, especially if you, like me, have lived with a problem for years but would dearly love to take action. Just take the first step. It’s worth the risk even though it takes courage. I am so glad I did, and would like to thank Tej for everything.”
