Hair Growth

We forget the number of myths we’ve read about hair removal. At Tej&Co we know the facts, we’ve learned them through experience. Let us share our experience with you.

The Facts

Hair grows in three stages: anagen, or actual growth, catagen, or resting, and telogen, when the hair is shed and the cycle begins again. Around 90% of your hair is growing at any one time

We need your hair to be in the growing stage to treat it. Individual hairs are at different stages, and that’s why you need a number of treatments to remove all excess hair.

Many factors affect how your hair grows – your genes, puberty, contraception, medication medical conditions such as Thyroid Disorder and Ploycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), pregnancy or the menopause for example.

You will always have a one-to-one consultation with your therapist to choose the best method of hair removal for you personally – we take lots of factors into account, including medical issues, so please bring full details along with you.

We will always tell you the approximate cost of your treatment, the results you can expect, and the number of treatments we think you will need. Of course, everyone is different, and we don’t believe in ‘one size fits all’ packages.

You should always tell us about any medical conditions, medication or pregnancy before your treatment, and inform us of any changes that occur after your treatment.

  • Waxing - Intimate waxing: I have never had a treatment that was so pain free! The non-strip wax was brilliant and I was given good aftercare advice too. It’s the only place I would recommend to have it done.
  • VPL - Back: I didn’t like the hair on my back and wanted to get rid of it permanently. This treatment has allowed me to take off my t-shirt on holiday with confidence.
  • Epil Pro - Nasal & Ear: I used to pluck my hair and it was getting worse. Since having this treatment it has got weaker and does not grow back as quick. Not the most comfortable of treatments but it’s worth it.
  • Electroysis - Chin & lip: My grey hair was not suitable to the laser and I was a bit reluctant to try electrolysis because in the past it had not worked on me. After a number of treatments the hairs got weaker and now they are gone. I’m so glad I gave it a second go.
